A complex issue

I don't oppose the war. But I'm frightened by the political tactics and environment that are being used to support it. Much of what Tim Robbins says in this speech is right on. He says, "A Chill Wind is Blowing in This Nation..."

Mr Baseball:

What's your take on the Hall of Fame vs. Mr Robbins incident. I'm surprised that you've been quiet on this issue. I sent a sternly worded letter of complaint to the guy who made the doofus call. My letter focused on the importance of the constitution and the bill of rights, but I must admit that I think I might have called him a name worse than "doo-doo head" in my letter. You know me, anything worth doing yada yada yada.

This, by the way, is my blatant attempt to engage someone else in conversation in these comments pages.

I almost never get any comments here. :-(

As for the Hall of Fame...

I think the whole thing was just incredibly disappointing. It's not just the Hall of Fame, it's all over the country. It's disgraceful that people are so intolerant of this opposing opinion. And even more disgraceful, and frankly, pretty damn scary, is the way the Bush Gov't is encouraging and enabling this kind of behavior.

Although... I liked South Park's take in "Little but Country, little bit Rock and Roll". How both sides are important to the system,

Did you see the most recent South Park? Naked Ben Affleck! Ben getting a hand job! Now this is the kind of quality tv I love.
