October 06, 2003Murphy's LawI got my new 40 gig hard drive installed today, and it's taking longer than I expected to get things back up and running. For example, it appears that my hardware has a hard limit that the OS X system has to be installed in a partition no larger than 8 gig. So I've split the drive into 8gig and 32gig. Note: Sherm's post often seem somewhat disembodied, so this one might seem no different. But in fairness, this one isn't his fault. He was responding to a "comment" that's been deleted because it was "comment-spam". It was unrelated to anything in the blog, and was added only to advertise a product.

And I'm not so sure there's any real value in connectedness -- in orderly transition from one topic to another. Linearity can be boring. I embrace my disconnectedness. I am that square peg that won't fit in the round hole. I am that monkey wrench being tossed into the machinery. I am the bad influence. I am the stitch not taken in time and I don't mind paying the nine. I am haste and I drink in the subsequent waste. I worship Jude -- not the actor although he was so good in that bath scene in TTMR -- but the Hardy Jude. I have always shaken it like a polaroid picture.
