Funny

Wil Wheaton' weblog (to Alex Gonzalez, the Cubs shortstop who bobbled an easy ground ball and failed the end the disasterous Game 6 8th inning):

Dear Alex Gonzalez,

Don't worry about everyone who wants to kill you right now.

Fundamentals, like using your body to back up a routine ground ball, or using two hands to handle that ball, are totally overrated.

Signed, Bill Buckner.

Arrrrrghhhhhhh!

You know, Hodgson -- I've come to deeply doubt your committment to the Red Sox -- what with that wussy post about waiting for the Cubs to get the rings first and then that pansy tribute to Roger and your constantly lame attmepts to be impartial. You know bub, Switzlerland is out there and waiting for you.

And now you've MENTIONED THE NAME OF HE WHOSE NAME MUST NEVER BE SPOKEN OR WRITTEN.

I think you've noticed the stories on what is happening to the Cubs fan that ruined things for his team. I hope you don't have to suffer the same fate.

I never made a "tribute" to Roger. Never.

Anything less than a rant with a lot of F words is a tribute.

October 11:
"Congratulations to Roger Clemens and the
Yankees, for winning an important, and very strange, game."

See what happens when you invoke his name?

You'd be one of the first kids killed in a Friday the 13th movie -- you near to be more respectful of evil -- acknowledge it's power.

So what do we get? Another GD Bucky Dent.
Damn.

Man, I let myself think we had it for a few innings.
