Catchup

The past couple of days have been a little busy. Yesterday I was down in Massachusetts, helping my mom and dad with their computer. And today I was at Prescott Park most of the day in meetings.

One good thing about the trip to Mass: I got to eat at Kelly's!!!

Maybe I'll get to catch up on blogging this evening.

Oh man. It was the cranberry sauce.

Sitting on the sea wall, midnight or even later. It was so dark that Revere Beach didn't look like the piece of waste it is. Hearning the waves. Eating fried chicken and french fries, and they give you this cup of cranberry sauce. I've never bought fried chicken anywhere else where they do that automatically.

Kelly's on the Beach. God, that's a great place.

So my coworkers and I were just talking about Kelly's and one of them said she has seen one up here in NH...but doesnt remember where it is. I told her no way, but she described the sign and knew the saying "world famous"

I only know of three Kelly's. Revere Beach, Saugus, and I understand there's one out in the Natick/Framingham area.

If it's not on the beach, it's not worth the reach. I ate at the Saugus one and was disgusted.

Without the sea wall, without standing six deep at the window at 1am in the winter, without the food being take-out instead of eat-in --- it just isn't Kelly's. And anyway, in the post-poker game runs, we would say we were going to Kelly's on the Beach -- not just Kelly's, or Kelly's in the Old Red Coach Grill location.

Beth is right, in my travels around New Hampshire I ran across some place that had a sign out side that was called Kelly's and it also claimed it's World Famous Roast Beef. I had to do a double take since I knew that the Famous Kelly's from Revere Beach hadn't come into NH yet. If it was one in the same I would have eaten lunch there.
