Double Play

Boston Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra and soccer star Mia Hamm were married in a private ceremony.

"It was a really nice wedding, on a hill with an ocean view," said Garciaparra's aunt, Lulu Garciaparra, of Fontana, Calif. "It was a very beautiful day."

She said a few hundred guests attended the wedding Saturday in this coastal California community.

Two degrees! That's all there is between me and Nomar.

I work with this kid Angel who went to school with Nomar's kid brother back in Whittier (home of Nixon) California.

Guess my invite got lost in the mail.
