Why do we need to go to Mars?

Because it's Next.

'Cause we came out of the cave, and we looked over the hill, and we saw fire. We crossed the ocean, and we pioneered the West, and we took to the sky.

The history of man is on a timeline of exploration, and this is what's Next.

-- Spoken by the character Sam Seaborn, The West Wing, written by Aaron Sorkin.

Why go to Mars? Because its there.
Same reason I climbed Mt Washington this past summer.

Mankind can not resists his desire for adventure.

Some men cannot resist their desire for naked triplets.

Don't encourage him Dave

I'm only following your brother's reasoning for why I should get a blog to it's ultimate conclusion. Not the conclusion JGH wanted, but that's the thing about exploration: once you start a path, you don't always know where it will end up.

And by the way, I've never needed encouragement to be a bad boy. My role in life is to be the bad influence for my friends in relationships. Just ask Jack's old girlfriend Janet.

We'll be able to find things on Mars which will help us learn more of what our planet's all about and perhaps or future! don't ya think?
