Well, to an Englishman, a 100 miles is non-existant since they are metric.


One of the students I do academic coaching with is a starting basketball player from England. And for a final paper in a writing course, he wrote about how people in the US think he's British, but when he goes home now, they think he's American because he's been in the states since he was 16. One of the things he wrote about was how he has lost the metric system and will refer to miles when he's in England and how everyone gives hiim a hard time when he does.

And 100 years isn't too long. I remind you Jack that you are closer to being 100 years old than you are to being 1 year old.
