SuperBowl Commercials Post-game Report

Adding to my list of first-half commercials.

The spots that stood out to me in the second half:

NFL people singing "Tomorrow" (NFL)
Talking Monkey (Bud Lite)
Office Supply Godfather (Staples)
Shards of Glass Freeze Pops (Truth)

I've haven't seen replays of any of them yet. But based of the first viewing, my faves from the whole game are: Talking Monkey and Snow Beach Volleyball.

I also liked the American Chopper AOL spots, but you have to know that show and the characters to really get it. I also liked the Mohammed Ali "Shake Things Up" spot. He's just a great american hero in my mind.

There were a few cool commercials, but gosh, the Super Bowl commercials just ain't what they used to be... but of the picks, I especially liked Mohammed Ali (he is awesome) and the anti-tobacco glass freeze pops, Willie Nelson Advise doll and the snow beach volleyball... especially how you could see in the background that one girl pulled down another girl's bikini top, that was funny! :-)

Wait a minute.. A Mac Fan remembering an IBM ad?

Wow! must've really made an impression.

Jo Ann: Obviously I'm gonna have to rewatch the vollyball commercial.

MGA: It's no longer Mac vs. IBM. IBM is now an ally with us against the evil empire. (Note that, all of Microsoft's former "allies" are now either its enemies, or dead.)

One reason I tuned in last night was to see some killer commercials. I was very disappointed.....
..."but gosh, the Super Bowl commercials just ain't what they used to be... "

P.S. with all my comments on this Super bowl thing, you probably guessed that Lisa worked last night...
