Birthweek

I've always felt that birthdays are anti-climactic. You wait all year, then it's over in a day. So I decided last year, that THIS YEAR I would stop celebrating my birth DAY and start celebrating my birth WEEK.

I mean, the whole thing is pretty arbitrary anyway. Your birth certificate says what TIME you were born, yet we usually celebrate not during that MINUTE, or even during that HOUR. We celebrate the whole day. So why not celebrate the whole week.

Anyway, my birthweek is coming up. It's Mon - Sun, the week of April 12. I'll be posting a schedule of the week's festivities soon.

So how long was your delivery, anyway?
That might be a reason to celebrate shorter...

First of all, it's your mom that should get the celebration. All you did was come out and start crying -- she did all the work.

Secondly, as part of your celebration, will you be displaying Civil War memorabilia in honor of the original day?

I hope you have a nice time celebrating your birth week.

A week is needed here, after all at Jacks age most things that the younger guy can do in a day would take Jack a week, it may take him the hole week just to get out of bed and leave the house....
