I'm disappointed with the Globe.

When I saw this printed in place of the today's Doonesbury, I thought that Trudeau must have followed up on the series I mentioned yesterday with some sort or scathing social observation. Not really.

From the pages of today's Globe:

The Boston Globe has decided not to publish today's installment of "Doonesbury" because the strip includes language inappropriate for a general readership. The strip's creator declined to change the wording or offer a substitute. "Doonesbury" resumes in tomorrow's comics pages. Today's strip is available online at www.boston.com/ae/comics.

What a bunch of wimps the Globe is. Is this connected to the whole janet jackson/howard stern/free-speech backlash that is going on?

Also interesting that they were willing to put it on the web, but not in the printed paper.
