Impressive, if true

Mike Liddell, Director of Online Communicationsfor the 2004 Democratic National Convention Committee, posts to the Berkman Thursday Yahoo! Group on how bloggers can apply for press credentials for the Convention. In part he says,

Bloggers should simply use the name of their blog as the 'news organization'‚ if they're interested in applying for credentials. While that may not seem a tad confusing for the typical blog, this is a relatively new medium and this is the first time (that I know of) where bloggers are being given official credentials to any major event. There might be a few bumps along the way but the Convention is committed to giving bloggers the same access and treatment as other members of the media.
