For anyone who is keeping track...
At 11:10 this morning the temp rose above freezing for the first time in 21 days.
Today's story: Excerpt -- "We've been in a pretty good cold spell up here in New England. Today is Day 19 of sub-freezing temperatures. That doesn't mean it went below freezing on each of those days. That means that it went below freezing 19 days ago, and it still hasn't returned."
Here's a little piece I did on baseball. Excerpt:
Are you ready for some baseball? Well, the Superbowl is over, and we've just passed the Hump of the winter, so baseball can't be far around the corner.
Party attendee George V., posted a few picture from Saturday. Here they are.
Professor Lessig, and others, have proposed an interesting solution to the Copyright Problem. The Eric Eldred Act would allow active works, like Mickey and Co. to remain protected, but allow abandoned, and commercially unviable works, to move into the Public Domain where they can be repurposed by others.
I haven't looked at all the detail's of this yet, but on the face of it, it makes sense.
We're having a party today at the lake house. It is reminiscent of the old "hump party" that I used to give way back when. But this one is not a big, neighborhood-wide, block party. Today is just for family and friends.
Pictures later.
Today blogfodder asks, "How would you use a global-Undo?".
That's easy. The 2000 U.S. Presidential Election.
Most of my epiphanies are fleeting. I will become convinced for a few days of something that is "absolutely right for me", or "this has to be the explanation". For those few days I will pursue this new paradigm with a passion. Until, inevitably, the next realization hits, and I'm off in a new direction.
It has its pros and cons.
