Yes Rain

BIG Rainstorm passed through the area this afternoon. Both UNH and the Epping amateur weather guy show that we got about 1.2 inches. That's about 6 weeks worth where I used to live in Calif.

Driving from here to Portsmouth there was alot of standing water. There was also a major car crash on 101 in Exeter when I drove through late this afternoon. I'm expecting to hear reports of flash flooding in the news tomorrow.

I was down in Lawrence, MA when the storm went through. I watched the water rise over 18 inches in the street in front of the house that my appointment was in. It was very interesting watching all the kids in town with there honda's that were modified as low riders going through this new pond. The water was the height of some of the tops of hoods as they cruised or in some cases tried to cruise through the newly formed pond. When I left the water was higher then the bottom of the doors on my Jeep when I cruised through it. The person that I was visiting had a weather station there, he checked the rain fall while I was there and we got close to 2 inches.

The car crash you are referring to was very sad...I heard, just heard, that a state cop pulled over to help someone who had skidded into the median, in the process of helping this poor unfortunate, his car was hit from behind by a drunen, unlicensed, unregistered driver. How sad!!

I'm thinking now that maybe the above isnt true cause there is nothing in the news about it...but I did see the state cop helping out a driver apparently just before you saw the rescue people.

Lawrence Mass, uhggg!!!
To bad the whole town did not flood, and wash away, the world would be a better place today.
