You don't know her, but...

One of the new friends I've made in the #joiito irc channel is Lisa, who writes the Boston based blog Cadence90.

The irc gang has been anticipating the birth of Lisa's second child for some time, and Thursday morning she gave birth to Joe.

Yay!

Joe's a nice name, but Sherman is an exceptional name.

And Shermanina if it's a girl!

Sherman, I agree completely. Actually, our first son is named Rowan, a name which we chose in part because we have a very common last name, and we thought, well, how are our kids going to get email addresses (ya gotta think about these things these days...). The reason we ended up with a more common male name this time is that we named him after my Dad.

Jack -- thanks for the congrats, and see you around #joiito!

You just have to look for opportunities and creative solutions. For instance, Dad could change his name. I did -- I was born David.

But Joe's nice. Joe's are always good guys. You can never go wrong if you have a Joe on your side.

Congrats on the little one! Adorable picture--what cute boys! I agree about the name... Joe is a great name! :-) (Rowan is cool, too). I'm named after my grandfather (Ann is from my grandmother on the other side... funny that worked out so well), so, I agree that Joe's are always good guys! Have fun!
