Special Prosecutor?

Followup to "government deception".

Adam Gaffin is confident that the walk/don't walk buttons here in Boston do, in fact, work as advertised. Personally, I think an investigation is called for.

Well, perhaps I should have said "Out here in the boonies of West Roxbury and Roslindale, they work ... " Why, at the corner of LaGrange and Centre streets, they've even supplemented them with a cute countdown clock that tells you how many seconds you have left before you get run over by an SUV.

Countdown clocks?

Yep. We got 'em. They started installing them in Berkeley about 4 months ago. Some only start the countdown when the hand like the one over Paul's head on the Sgt Peper album starts flashing and it's time to get moving. Others give you the countdown from the start of the walk cycle.

They are cool and it does help in the decision of whether or not you are going to try to dash across the street.
