Dave, my brother who ran away to live in Warren, Vermont (near Montpelier), sent along these crucial stats.

What do all these numbers mean?

Six,
6, 4, 2, 1, 2, 2....
Seven,
17
Two.....
1 inch.....

Six, the number of consecutive days it has snowed in
Vermont

6, 4, 2, 1, 2, 2.... Inches of snow that has fallen each day for 6 days in a row

Seven, the temperature this morning when I got up...

17, the total snow fall for last week

Two..... the total calendar days of spring 2004

1 inch..... the size of the snow flakes falling Saturday afternoon.

Oh, this could be so easy. I could use 68 and 65 -- the degrees from yesterday and today. I could use 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0, and keep going on like some engineering geek writng out Pi to it endless limit and point out that was the snowfall for recent days. I could use 11,680 which is the number of days since snowfall assuming the myth is correct and there was actually snowfall in 1972.

But that would be mean. So let me just say "Bundle up everyone".


I gotta go watch barechested frat boys play frisbee in the sunshine now.

Well, us San Franciscan's can relate to that East Coast weather today. The fog never lifted here in the City and we never saw the sun and had to wear jackets. Burrr, it's chilly. So, obviously, we can commiserate with ya'll Back East!
