Moving Water

The local sports talk station I listen to usually portrays the Mayor of Boston as something of a buffoon. And I've yet to see anything to dispute that. But he likes fountains, and we have that in common.

Boston Globe:

...Mayor Thomas M. Menino says he wants the city's fountains spouting again.

"I'm a nut for fountains,'' he said in a recent interview. "It's part of the beautification of the city."

UPDATE: In comments, AdamG clarifies some things for me about the qualities of Boston Mayor Menino. To the extent that my (very possibly mistaken) attitude is based on the fact that the Mayor has a speech impediment, I regret reinforcing that stereotype. And I'm still with him on the fountain thing.
