I haven't blogged this, but I've been thinking it all Spring. I really think that, of the five soon-to-be free-agents that there's been so much talk about re-signing, I really think Varitek could be the one of those guys who we can least afford to lose. He's a great bat, a wonderful defensive catcher, a clutch hitter, and he's so good behind the plate, that he makes all our pitchers better than they would be otherwise.
