It's Fry's for Hiker Geeks

I spent two and a half hours in the Kittery Trading Post today.

Amazingly, my brother -- who'd rather be hiking (or skiing) -- has never been there. And this morning he suddenly announced that that's where he wanted to go today.

I had been planning a quiet day indoors, surfing the web and reading, but the idea of watching him discover the KTP was not to be missed.

As I expected, he liked it. He spent hours roaming the departments. Hats, maps, hiking clothes, hats, kayak accessories, kayaks, camping gear, hats, backpacks, trail guides, hats, and more.

For those of you familiar with Fry's electronics in California, just think that, but only with stuff you use outdoors. Very geeky.

After that, we drove up Mt A where we added some stones to the wise, old indian's grave, then nearly got carried away by mosquitos.

It was a good day... Oh and I made my* world-famous meatloaf for dinner.

(*formerly my Mom's world-famous meatloaf, but there's been a passing of that baton.)
